Our 6-Step Process For Custom Builds
Building a custom designed home doesn't have to be daunting. Our experience and proven processes take the pain out of the whole process from concept design to completion of your home, see how it all happens below!
Before we commence the initial design and costing process a professional site assessment is carried out by our builder.
This ensures all site related costs are accurate from the outset so you, our client has a complete overview of the project costs before you put pen to paper.
1. Design & Costing
You will work with our experienced designer, Ashleigh, who has a passion for designing site responsive and solar passive homes that suit Perth's climate. All designs focus on your lifestyle, needs and budget. When you are happy with the design it will be costed in detail, providing you with a comprehensive specification.
2. Preliminary Agreement
A preliminary agreement, or (PPA) preparation of plan agreement is signed when you accept the design and contract quotation we have produced.
3. Development Approval
If required, your plans will be prepared for development approval (DA) and we will work closely with the local authority to ensure your new development is granted approval.
4. Pre-start Meeting
You will meet one on one with our experienced Pre-start consultant and Company Director, Lee, to detail the final selections of your home.
5. Building Approval & Contracts
During this stage we finalise the construction plans for building approval and produce your building contract documents.
During the final and most exciting stage our experienced site supervisor, under the guidance and in ongoing consultation with the owner and registered builder, will take your plans and build your home. Your new home will quickly take shape before your eyes.

Managing Director & Registered Builder
Greg has over 37 years of experience in the WA building industry starting as a carpenter joiner.
He is entrenched in the local industry and has served on boards for both Wesbuilders Cooperative and MBAWA (Master Builders Australia WA)
Director & Contracts Administrator
Lee is our extremely experienced contracts administrator and pre-start consultant. With over 27 years of experience in these roles she effortlessly guides our clients through the building process.
Residential Designer & Client Consultant
Ashleigh has been an integral member of the Central Avenue Homes team for over 9 years. She works one on one with our clients from the initial design process through to construction. With a passion for site responsive and solar passive design she ensures our clients design expectations are realised.
It is Kyel's passion to craft the plans provided into a beautiful home for our clients. Kyel has over 10 years of building experience in the WA building industry and is a qualified bricklayer having gained his qualifications in the UK. He has developed excellent working relationships with our contractors to ensure a high quality finish is delivered.
